Major challenges had to be surmounted to develop
RocketBallz technology, including the need to create a durable yet flexible sole/face structure with a deep sole pocket. Additionally, we needed a deeper face design and low CG to maintain excellent playability off turf. Lastly, the products needed a front-low CG without sacrificing playability and control.

Rocketballz irons are built progressively throughout the set. From small, compact short-irons, through deep undercut-cavity mid irons, and large hollow long irons, each iron is designed to promote the proper trajectory and distance gapping. The majority of the set features TaylorMade's Multi-functional Sole, while the sand, attack and lob wedges incorporate TaylorMade's new ATV sole.

RocketBallZ RBZ Driver is made for the mid to high-handicap golfers who want more distance and forgiveness so that they can hit it farther and still have a good control on the ball flight. It is designed to combine speed, adjustability and two clubhead options, RocketBallz and RocketBallz Tour, to appeal to a wide range of players.

RocketBallz Fairway Wood has been developed with some key aims. TaylorMade wanted to create a fairway wood which had a durable yet flexible sole and face with a deeper face design and a low COG so it interact well with the turf.Made from high strength 455 steel, the powerful face plate has been welded to a cast body. This face allows the club face to be stronger and more durable than standard club faces.

RocketBallz Rescue are being offered with two models, standard and Tour. The standard model incorporates a lightweight shaft and lightweight grip to promote increased swing speed. The clubface is large and deep, yet the CG is located low and forward, a combination that’s desirable yet difficult to achieve, made possible employing both our Ultra-Thin Wall casting process and our Thick-Thin crown design.
